A Manhattan native and universal music aficionado, DJ KevG began his career at an early age. He went on to develop a huge following and was in such high demand that he established his own DJ company and had several DJ’s working for him in 6 different venues in the Hamptons.
While working at 511 in New York City, he caught the ear of a club owner who asked him to DJ for the opening of the World Club during the Atlanta Summer Olympics. After hearing one of his sets at the World Club, the Atlanta Hawks dance team choreographer requested that he provide music selections and mixes for the squads' performances. That gig led to an 8 city cross country tour as the musical director of the Fila Industrial Fashion show for their apparel collection.
DJ KevG's Friday and Saturday sets at Club NV and the Monday night party at the China Club in New York City were legendary. Crowds of people would line up around the block waiting to get in and dance to his hot mixes till closing.
DJ KevG has a global fan base especially in Japan, where he has had major sales for several of his singles. Classic remixes like “Sisqo vs. Ghost Face Killah” and “Everyone Falls”, distributed by one of the world’s largest independent music distributors (Cisco), have established him among the top five selling independent remixers in the company’s 20 year history. These records feature the unique DJ KevG flavor of blending different music styles and popular records to create a fresh memorable sound that never gets old.
His latest remix, "Sinatra's Empire State" combines the hot hip hop anthem Empire State (Jay Z featuring Alicia Keys) and an old classic New York, New York (Frank Sinatra). Only DJ KevG could mash up these two music genres to create a monster hit. Look for his remixes at www.opremixes.com.
